This project consisted of rehabilitating the headworks structure of the Port Royal Island WRF facility in Beaufort, SC.
The structure encountered severe hydrogen sulfide damage since startup in 2005. Structural rehab and equipment replacement was undertaken including redundant bypassing of full plant flows (10+ MGD), installation of two new multi-rake influent screens, application of Raven epoxy coatings throughout the structure and ancillary electrical and mechanical changes.
The project was completed in 2019 without interruption to plant operations.
