This project consisted of constructing a new self-priming centrifugal pump station to replace an existing station slated for demolition.

The new cast-in-place wet well was placed on micro-piling and the new pump house was built watertight for flood protection including water-tight concrete walls with brick veneer, flood proof doors and all electrical raised above the 100 year flood elevation. Work within the small parcel of land owned by BJWSA was complex but the station was constructed with a keen eye for architecture due to surrounding homes and City planning requirements. The station is fully backed-up with electrical power generation and natural gas for pump operation in the event of a storm event.

The project was completed in 2019 and is one of the largest stations in BJWSA’s system.
